SERVICES & FEES
Therapy Services and Fees
What we offer, what it costs, and how to start. No surprises.
Free 15-minute consultation · In-network with most major insurance plans · Superbills available · HSA/FSA accepted
Money is one of the biggest reasons people put off therapy, and it's hard to plan for something when nobody will tell you the numbers. So here's everything: what we offer, what it costs, and how to get started.
You can use your insurance, pay out of pocket, or ask about our sliding scale. If you're not sure which makes sense for you, we'll help you figure it out on your free consult.
What we offer
Individual therapy for adults. Anxiety, burnout, depression, ADHD, trauma, identity, and the relationship patterns that keep repeating. Anywhere in Missouri & Illinois.
Therapy for teens (16+) and college students. With Carolina, including joint parent-and-teen sessions when they help.
Couples therapy. With Nicole, who has completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method. Currently for Illinois residents.
Therapy in Spanish. With Carolina, anywhere in Missouri & Illinois.
Clinical supervision. For pre-licensed LPCs and LCSWs in Missouri & Illinois, with action planning built into every meeting. Ask about it on your free consult.
Coaching and consulting. Leadership, ADHD, and parent coaching. Every engagement ends with a practical implementation plan. Coaching isn't therapy, isn't billed to insurance, and is priced separately. Ask about it on your free consult.
All sessions are online by secure video.
Why online works
No commute, no waiting room. Meet from home, your office, or your parked car on a lunch break.
Easier to fit into a full week. Early morning, evening, and Sunday appointments.
Anywhere private in Missouri & Illinois. You don't have to live near us.
It works. A review of 20 randomized trials for depression, anxiety, and PTSD found therapy by video worked as well as in-person care. Clients rated their satisfaction and their relationship with their therapist about the same, too (Shaker et al., 2023). A smaller trial with couples found the same: relationship satisfaction improved just as much by video as in person (Kysely et al., 2022).
How it works
Free 15-minute consultation or chat. Tell us what's going on, ask anything (including about cost), and see if it feels like a fit.
Your first session. A full intake. We get the real picture and map out a plan together.
Ongoing sessions. Weekly or every other week to start, then spaced out as the tools start working. Every session ends with a next step.
Using insurance? Most clients pay a copay. Paying out of pocket? See self-pay rates below.

Using your insurance
We're in-network with most major insurance plans, and we'll verify your benefits before your first session.
How we check your coverage
When you request your free consult, choose how you'll pay and upload a photo of your insurance card (it's a secure, HIPAA-compliant form).
We confirm we're in-network and check your benefits.
Before your first session, we'll tell you what you can expect to pay.
What you'll usually owe:
Copay: if your plan has one, you pay it at each session.
Deductible: until it's met, you may owe the full session fee.
Coinsurance: if your plan uses it, you pay your percentage of the session fee.
We check your benefits ahead of time, but your insurance company makes the final call on what's covered. It's worth calling them too and asking about coverage for "outpatient mental health telehealth" services.
Self-pay rates
First session (intake): $200
Standard session (53 to 60 minutes): $150
Shorter session (38 to 52 minutes): $125
Couples session: $175
Sliding scale: Reduced rates of $70 to $100 per session are available at your therapist's discretion. Ask about it on your free consult.
Out-of-network: If we're not in your network, we can give you a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
How to pay: We accept all major credit cards, plus HSA and FSA cards.

You can ask us for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Services outside of sessions
Some things happen outside your scheduled session, like letters (including gender-affirming care letters), reports, or calls and meetings with other professionals at your request. These are billed at $150 per hour, prorated to the nearest quarter hour. Insurance doesn't cover them. Legal work, like subpoenas or court testimony, is billed the same way, including prep time.
Cancellations and missed sessions
Your appointment time is held just for you, so we ask for notice if you need to change it.
Most appointments: 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
High-demand times (before 9 AM, 3 PM or later, and weekends): 48 hours' notice.
Late cancellations and no-shows: $75. Insurance doesn't cover this fee.
Running late: your session still ends on time. More than 15 minutes late counts as a no-show.
Life happens. Emergencies are considered case by case.
